"Your trauma is not your fault, but it is your responsility to heal it."
'Mama' Carroll
As a spiritual life coach, I work with members of the LGBTQ+ community to foster growth, heal from religious and social trauma, and build healthy relationships. My coaching is grounded in spirituality, but it isn't tied to any specific faith. Using combination of Art, journaling, meditations, conversation, and practical exercises. I will help you heal to heal religious and social trauma, and building healthy relationships Religious and social trauma can arise when someone has faced judgment, exclusion, or shame from religious institutions, communities, or societal norms because of their sexuality or gender identity.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to gather a diverse and wonderful group of individuals who look to me for guidance and support. Fondly known as "god Kids," "work Kids," and others, these individuals have become an extended family. Through my spiritual life coaching, I strive to share my life experiences and knowledge to help them navigate the often complex and challenging path of living as members of the LGBTQ+ community.
In my coaching, I focus on the unique struggles faced by the adult members of the LGBTQ+ community, affectionately referred to as the Alphabits. Many of these individuals grapple with deep-seated religious and social traumas linked to their sexuality. My mission is to create a safe and supportive environment where they can unpack these traumas and begin the healing process.
Religious trauma, in particular, can be profoundly damaging, often leaving scars that are difficult to heal. Many Alphabits have been told that their sexuality is incompatible with their faith, leading to feelings of rejection, guilt, and shame. In our sessions, we work together to dismantle these harmful beliefs and build a more affirming and inclusive understanding of spirituality. It's about finding peace within themselves and reconciling their faith with their identity.
Social trauma, too, plays a significant role in the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals. From bullying and discrimination to the subtle, everyday microaggressions, the impact can be pervasive and insidious. My approach involves helping them recognize and address these experiences, fostering resilience and self-acceptance. We explore strategies to cope with and overcome these challenges, empowering them to live authentically and confidently.
Through personalized guidance, empathetic listening, and practical advice, my goal is to support the Alphabits in their journey towards self-discovery and empowerment. Each session is tailored to their specific needs, ensuring that they feel heard, understood, and valued. By sharing my experiences and insights, I hope to provide them with the tools and confidence to navigate the complexities of life as proud members of the LGBTQ+ community.
In the heart of my coaching practice lies the belief that everyone deserves to live a life free from the burdens of past traumas. Together, we work to heal old wounds, celebrate their true selves, and embrace the bright future ahead. As Mama Carroll, I am honored to be a part of their journey, offering unwavering support and love every step of the way.

Along with being Mama to a horde of Alphabits (that's LGBTQ+ young people), I am an artist, IT professional, clergy person, tarot reader, and a Vetran.
My spiritual journey began when I was around 9 years old. My uncle introduced me to the concept of the Living Force, which I now understand as the Awen, and the philosophy of IDIC (Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations). IDIC is a beautiful belief that growth and progress arise from the union of differences. (Yes, both are sci-fi references!)
As a teen, I crossed paths with a Wiccan Priestess, Lady Vixen, who handed me a book that would change my life: *God as Woman, Woman as God* by J. Edgar Bruns. At 18, after being a practicing Pagan for several years, I felt the call to become Pagan clergy, especially since there were no priests or priestesses who truly understood what it meant to be queer. In 2006, I received my ordination from the Universal Life Church to officiate the union of two dear friends. (I had to get my ordination again in 2012 due to lost records, but that's a story for another time.)
My first tarot reading took place during high school, right on the lunchroom table for a friend. But my first professional experience came years later at Northern Nevada Pride, where I used my tarot reading to raise money for charity.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of learning from various teachers—Druids, Witches, Priests, Priestesses, and scholars—all of whom have shaped my spiritual path.
In 2007, I joined the U.S. Army. After my training, I helped to found the first Fort Riley Open Circle and served as a Distinctive Faith Group Leader (DFGL)—helping to create a spiritual space for Pagan soldiers. While deployed in Iraq, I also had the honor of being a teacher with Victory Base Open Circle.
After returning home, I co-founded and helped run Gathering WIND (Witches In Nevada's Desert) for five years. I also had the privilege of being head instructor and co-founder of Un-Traditional Magick, an online school teaching magic and spirituality until its closure in 2023.
As a tarot reader, I don't just read the cards—I read *you*. The cards help clarify and illustrate what my instinct and magical senses already know. My connection with people and my ability to listen beyond the surface guide my readings, making each session a unique experience.
In 2023, a dear friend who is a therapist suggested that I channel my years of experience as a clergy person and mentor into becoming a spiritual life coach. Inspired, I began this new journey, and in March 2024, I earned my Shamanic Life Coach certification from Transformation Academy. By September 2024, I earned my Spiritual Coach Certification as well.
It's been a wild and fulfilling journey, and I'm deeply honored to offer guidance, coaching, and spiritual support to those seeking it. If you're looking for a mix of wisdom, humor, and a little bit of magic, you've found your Mama Carroll!
Blessings,
